Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Med Surg/Rehab – 6 East
Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12×3, 36 hrs per week, EOWLength: 13 weeks
Requirements:

• WA License
• 2 years’ experience
• MS nurses with some neuro experience
• Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac required
• BLS
• NIH
• ACLS preferred
• Telemetry- remote monitoring preferred
• Rehab preferred

Other Details:

• Work Settings: MS/Tele, Med/Surg
• Travelers float first

Patient Diagnoses:– Mainly neuro patients. Prefer tele experience with ACLS when floating off of Cherry Hill campuses.– Support neuro-tele units according to skill level and floating is required.– MS nurses with some neuro exp required
– Staffing Ratio: 1:5– Float: yes, Multi campus, travelers float first, 5 EAST Tele– # Weekend Shifts per Contract: every other
SKILLS
Work Settings:– MS/Tele, Med/Surg (REQUIRED)
Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response:– Use of Rapid Response Teams (REQUIRED)– Telemetry- remote monitoring (PREFERRED)
Gastrointestinal:– Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management (REQUIRED)
IV therapy/Phlebotomy:– Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs (REQUIRED)
Medications:– Heparin, Insulin, PCA (REQUIRED)
Neurological/Psychiatric:– CVA, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury (REQUIRED)
Oncology:– Chemotherapy Administration (PREFERRED)
Plastics:– Surgical drains (REQUIRED)
Respiratory:– Nasal Cannula, Oral suctioning, Tracheostomy Management (REQUIRED)
Professional Knowledge and Skills:– Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac (REQUIRED)
Additional Skills:– MS Acute Care with some neuro (REQUIRED)– Rehab (PREFERRED)
Certifications:– BCLS, NIH (REQUIRED)– ACLS (PREFERRED)
