Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – PCU A5 South 48’s

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12×4, 48hrs per week, Will also consider 36hrs

Length: 13 Weeks
*** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract

Requirements:
  • IN or Compact License
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Telemetry, Proficient Neuro Experience, and Management of Drips
  • BLS, ACLS
  • Conscious Sedation and Level 1 Trauma Experience preferred
Other Details:
  • First Time Travelers Accepted
  • May be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU)
MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.

Shift Requirements: 4×12 or 3×12

*** Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Certification Requirements: ACLS and BCLS
Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 Year Required, Telemetry, Proficient Neuro Experience, and Management of DripsSkillset Preferences: Conscious Sedation and Level 1 Trauma Experience
Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed
Staffing Ratios: 1:3-4 (Will Rarely See 5 During Emergencies)
Unit Information: CVAs, Hydrocephalus, brain tumors and resections, seizures, and TBIs; shooting, stabbings, MVCs, people falling over rugs etc. GI surgeries and large wound cleaning and closures.
