Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Telemetry – 6th West 2 Cardiac

Shift: Nights, 6:45p-7:15a, 12×3, 36hrs per week

Length: 13 weeks

Weekend Requirement: 8 Weekend Shifts

Requirements:

  • NC License
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Skills: IV Start and Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias and Management of dysrhythmias
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH
  • Step-Down experience preferred
Other Details:
  • Unit WILL accept 1st Time Travelers (Stepdown experience preferred)
  • Floating required
  • EKG testing required prior to start for this specialty
  • Pyxis, Epic, SBAR
  • Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for, this specialty

JOB DETAILS:RATIOS: 1:6 ratio, Avg. Daily Census: 23SHIFT: *36hrs can be offered.Will Accept 13 Weeks.12 HOUR NIGHTSFloat Requirement: YES Floating is Required.Weekend Requirement: 8 Weekend Shifts.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Cardiac Arrhythmias, MI, ACS, Diabetes uncontrolled, DKA, Heart Failure, post heart catheterization, post PPM, post ICD. Cardiac drips. No titrating for blood pressure. Quality nurses needed that can handle high acuity patients and a high patient to nurse
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Cardiac drips. No titrating for blood pressure. Tele/Stepdown/IMC quality nurses needed that can handle high acuity patients and a high patient to nurse ratio.**No charge nurses on the unit. Teamwork is a must**
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Glucomander
UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
UNIT ORIENTATION: 3 day orientation. First day EPIC training, the next two days on the unit.
SCRUBS: Navy or white
