Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Surgical Trauma ICU 48’s

Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12×4, 48hrs per week, Will also consider 36hrs
Length: 13 Weeks
Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need

Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.

Requirements:
  • IN license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Surgical Intensive Care Unit Experience
  • Must have experience in Trauma Designated facility, Cerner, and IV Starts
  • Skillset: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Continuous IV sedation, Care of Ventilated Patient, Must have experience in Trauma Designated facility, Cerner, and IV Starts
  • BLS, ACLS, NIH

  • No first time traveler accepted
  • No Travel Pairs Working Together on this Unit
IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment. Please only submit candidates that are okay with these requirements.

Traveler must have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package for their license to apply for this position.

Cerner Experience Required

First Time Travelers Accepted; ; No Travel Pairs Working Together On This Unit

Certification Requirements: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH
