Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – PCU – Medical 48’s
Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p (12×4) 48 hours per week, will consider 36’s, EOW
Length: 13 weeks
Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
Requirements:
*** Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need
*** Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Certification Requirements: ACLS and BCLS; NIH Preferred
Skillset Requirements:Minimum 2 Year ExperienceTelemetry – on unit monitoringIV insulin protocols and Tirtration of insulin dripsFeeding tube care and managementPre/post hemodialysis managementBlood product administrationMonitoring ChemotherapyHeparin protocolsManage cardia drips – no titrationExternal CPA/BiPAPHigh Flow Nasal CannulaIsolation PrecautionsStaffing Ratios: 1:4Unit Information: Medical PCU – almost ICU level acuity – multiple cardiac drips. Stable vents. Multi-organ failure, liver failure, pulmonary Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor’s note provided.

- Minimum 2 Year Experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH preferred
- First Time Travelers Accepted
- May be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU)
- Local accepted
