Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – ICU 48’s
Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12×3, 48 hrs per week, will consider 36s
Length: 13 weeks
Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need
Requirements:
  • IN RN or Compact License
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Continuous IV sedation, Care of Ventilated Patient required
  • Must have experience in Trauma Designated facility, Cerner, and IV Starts
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH

  • Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed
  • Cerner experience required
  • No First Time Travelers

Local rate rule: ICU, PCU and M/S Peds and Adult RNs residing in the state of Indiana are considered local and will be accepted at the local rate.
Traveler must have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package for their license to apply for this position.
Cerner Experience Required
First Time Travelers Accepted; ; No Travel Pairs Working Together On This Unit

Certification Requirements: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH
Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 Year Experience, Surgical Intensive Care Unit Experience, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Continuous IV sedation, Care of Ventilated Patient, Must have experience in Trauma Designated facility, Cerner, and IV Starts

Staffing Ratios: 1:2-3
Unit Information: Provides critical care services to a variety of patients who have suffered injuries or incurred illnesses requiring surgical intervention. Trauma can include gunshot wounds, blunt traumatic injury from construction accidents, motor vehicle accidents, farming and boating accidents. Various physician services include surgical intensivists, medical intensivist, nephrology, ENT, orthopedics, general surgery focusing on abdominal injuries and other internal injuries.
