Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Medical Surgical A7S 48’s
Shift: Days, 7a-7:30p, 12×4, 48hrs per week, will accept 36hrs, EOW
Length: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
  • IN / Compact license
  • 2 years of nursing experience required
  • BLS
  • Med/Surg, MS/Tele, and IV Start skillset required
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias and Management of dysrhythmias skillset preferred
Others:
  • First Time Travelers Accepted
  • Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU)
  • Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor’s note provided

MUST BE WILLING TO TAKE CHARGE OR OPEN TO TRAINING FOR CHARGE

Shift Requirements: 4×12 or 3×12 Days
*** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
*** Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need
*** Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Certification Requirements: BCLS
Skillset Requirements: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, and IV StartSkillset Preferences: Interpretation of dysrhythmias and Management of dysrhythmias
Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU)
Staffing Ratios: 1:2-3
Unit Information: Med Surg + Neuro/Stroke
