Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Step-down – Advance Care Unit MV3 48’s

Shift: Nights, 7p-7:30a, 12×4, 48hrs per week, Will also accept 36’s

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • OH License
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a large hospital
  • Level 1 preferred will accept level 2 experience.
  • Must have vent experience
  • Trauma Level I Experience
  • Must be able to read and interpret strips
  • IV Start
  • BCLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH preferred
  • Must have EPIC experience
  • Travel experience preferred
Other Details:
  • Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment
  • Local is within 50 miles of home address to contracted facility)
  • No first time travelers
  • Patient Population: DKA, GI bleed, COPD, Pneumonia, Stroke, Sepsis, Urology complications.
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not Required
  • Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

**For 48-hour contract, OT is paid out after 48 hours**
**36 or 48 hour contract**

**Must have vent experience
**Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but they can be up to 1:5-6**
Must have the following requirements:• Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment.• BLS, ACLS required, NIH preferred – must be able to read and interpret strips• IV Start• Nurses will be fitted for N95 prior to working on the HRRU unit unless PAPR is offered/needed.• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a large hospital; level 1 preferred will accept level 2 experience.• Travel experience preferred
Unit Details:High acuity, fast-paced step-down unit. Needs good time management skills.Excellent critical thinking skills, cardiac monitor interpretation, Ventilator/trach experience, ACLS, manage chest tubes, drains, NIH Stroke Certification, Cardiac drips.Patient Population: DKA, GI bleed, COPD, Pneumonia, Stroke, Sepsis, Urology complications.• Daily average census: 31• Navy Blue Scrubs
