Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – PCU 48’s
Shift: Days / 7a-7:30a, 12×4, 48hrs per week, will also consider 36hrs per week

Length: 13 weeks
Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need
Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 holidays that fall within their contract (or a majority if there are 4 holidays
Requirements:
  • IN RN License
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Skills required: Proficient in cardiac monitoring- on unit monitoring, Management of chest tubes, Fresh trachs, Feeding tube care and management, Care of post of patients, Epidurals, Management of non-titratable cardiac drips, IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips, External BiPAP/CPAP. Total laryngectomy, Doppler flap checks

Local rate rule: ICU, PCU and M/S Peds and Adult RNs residing in the state of Indiana are considered local and will be accepted at the local rate.
Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 holidays that fall within their contract (or a majority if there are 4 holidays).
Holidays include- Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve/Day and New Years Eve/Day

Unit Information: Surgical PCU- almost ICU level acuity- ENT (Neck dissections, Mandibulectomy), Thoracic (Esophagectomy, Lobectomy, Pneumonectomy), General Surg. (Pancreatic, Bowel/ liver resections), Urology (Urinary diversions, cystectomies, RPLND), Medical overflow
