Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – PCU HVU
Shift: Days/ 7a-7p, 12×3, 36 hrs per week, EOW, EOH, No Call
Length: 16 Weeks
- SD License
- Minimum experience 1.5 years general nursing experience
- Step down level experience with post cardiac/vascular, post-cardiac cath patients, post open heart surgery, post TAVR, post EP studies, post pacemaker insertion
- Cardiac procedural recovery (CABG/TAVR/post cardiac cath), MI pharmacology, titratable Cardiac/vasoactive gtts (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levo, Dopamine) experience
- PCU level RN skills
- NIHSS
- ACLS
- BLS
- Heparin gtts, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes management, TNK administration experience preferred
Others:
- Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing
- Floating primarily to sister unit, General PCU – as needed
- Could also be floated to MS/Tele or ICU to care for PCU level patients
- Could be floated within scope of practice
- Patient Ratios: RN: 1:4 most of the time, can be 1:3 (acuity dependent)
- Only accepts 1st time travelers with 2+ years experience
- 2023-24 Flu Documentation
- Epic EMR, Alaris, Omnicell
- Must live 100 miles away
