Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Med Surg/Tele

Shift: Nights / 6:45p-7:15a, 12×3, 36 hrs per week, EOW

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• NC License
• Minimum 2 years’ experience
• Skills: IV Start, Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Manage Cardiac & Vasoactive drips – no titration
• BCLS
• NIH
• ACLS preferred
• Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

Other Details:

• Unit accepts 1st time travelers
• Locals Accepted
• Floating required as needed to other Med/Surg units
• Travelers will be required to take COVID patients if necessary. No team members are exempt from taking a COVID patient with the exception of pregnant team members
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty

JOB DETAILS:Target Ratios: 1:5/6Shift: 12HR NIGHTS36 hours can be offered.Will accept 13 week contracts.No blocked scheduling.
RTO: 7 days MAXFloat Requirement: Floating required as needed to other Med/Surg units.Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.Travelers will be required to take COVID patients if necessary. No team members are exempt from taking a COVID patient with the exception of pregnant team members.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES:Variable med-surg unit with focus on cardiac and neurology services. Stroke certified, hip and knee certified, colorectal cancer certified, ERAS, general surgical patients, occasional GYN surgeries, hospice, cardiac services, pre and post cath, tele neurology, oncology.
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication):Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
SCHEDULING TYPE:Unit schedulesCannot guarantee blocked schedule.
UNIT ORIENTATION:2, 12hr shifts.Hospital Orientation week one; traveler must be available for classes each day.
SCRUBS:Any combination of navy and white.
