Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Behavioral Health Pathways
Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a (12×3) 36 hours per week, EOW
Length: 13 Weeks

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Patients meet criteria who struggle with safety issues; such as suicidal thinking, homicidal ideas or agitation, and thought disorders or psychosis.Patients with Chronic Persistent Mental IllnessBipolarSchizophreniaSchizoaffectiveDepression NOSAnxiety NOSPersonality Disorders
Typically staffed with 2-3 RN’s and 2 LNA/MHTAdult Population 18-64, with some exception for geriatrics – depending on the milieu.Typical Length of Stay 10-14 days, due to the NH Involuntary commitment Laws.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Pathways are a 16-bed locked psychiatric intensive care unit, designated by the State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health, as a receiving facility for involuntary patients. It is a Designated Receiving Facility (DRF).Pathways can also admit patients on a voluntary status.It is an adult unit serving patients age 18 to 64. ALOS = 6-9 days
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: In this safe and supportive environment patients receive intensive individual and group therapy.The therapeutic milieu and treatment focuses is on coping skills, problem solving, assertiveness, self-esteem, relaxation, leisure skills, and more.Each client will put together an individualized treatment plan to better manage the life stresses that contributed to hospitalization.
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Omnicell, Epic, SBARUNIT ORIENTATION: 3 shiftsSCRUBS: Any, no cartoons**Travelers are not considered if they have ever been a former employee at any facility associated with Solution Health regardless of length of separation or duration of time worked at health system**COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions OnlyFlu Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

- NH License
- 1 year (acute behavioral health)
- BLS
- CPI or MAB
- Epic charting Skills
- Traveler Experience: Unit accepts first time travelers
- Charge Nurse Experience preferred
- Travelers within 50 miles of facility
- Float required
