Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – SICU 48’s
Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12×4, 48hrs per week, will accept 36hrs, weekend base on units needs
Length: 13 Weeks
Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
Requirements:
  • IN / Compact license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Telemetry, Vents, and IV Start
  • BLS
  • ACLS
Others:
  • First Time Travelers Accepted
  • Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed
  • Local accepted
MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.

Shift Requirements: 4×12 or 3×12

*** Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Certification Requirements: ACLS and BCLS
Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 Years Experience, Telemetry, Vents, and IV Start
Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed
Staffing Ratios: 1:2
Unit Information: Highly complex surgical oncology patients as well as ENT, Thoracic, Plastics, Genitourinary, and General surgery patients who are critically ill and require ventilation, vasopressors, continuous dialysis, and Rotoprone bed therapy.
– Vent management, titration of vasopressors and sedatives, continuous dialysis, and Rotoprone bed therapy. Patients require continuous cardiac monitoring, frequent blood draws, insertion of small bore feeding tubes, and management of arterial lines, Swan Ganz catheters, central venous catheters, chest tubes, leech therapy, and frequent skin flap checks.
