Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Behavioral Health

Shift: Nights/ 7p-7a, 12×3, 36 hrs per week, EOW, Holiday

Length: 13 Weeks

Requirements:

• OH License
  
• Minimum 1 year experience in Psychiatric setting
• 2 years work experience in the specialty they are applying for
• Previous Charge experience a plus
  
• 1 year travel experience
  
• PEDS experience
  
• BLS
• TCI Training preferred
  
• Bipolar, anxiety, eating, psychotic, depressive disorders experience preferred
• Previous training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) strongly preferred

Shift: 7p -7am
Minimum of 1 yr. experience in Psychiatric setting, PEDS experience is required
BLS Required
Experience with bipolar, anxiety, eating, psychotic, depressive disorders preferred
Every other weekend/HOLIDAY required
Unable to guarantee block scheduling but will attempt to work with requestsPreferred 1 year of travel experience. PEDS experience is required.

Requirements: Strong communication and relationship building skills; experience with children and adolescents; physically competent to lift 25 lbs and participate in a physical hold/restraint (securing a patients arm/leg while on the ground); successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training which will be provided within the first month of the contract; and consistent compliance with wearing of behavioral personal protective equipment. Previous training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) strongly preferred for select positions.
Locked/secured unit/facility.
Duties include:
Facilitation of therapeutic groups; complete safety checks; assist with ADLs (meal supervision, bathing, toileting, laundry, etc); engage in recreational play with the patients (games, gym, etc); and provide 1:1 sitter supervision for high-risk/acute patients on inpatient unit or in the Emergency Department. Regular shift documentation in an Electronic Medical Record.

-Admissions, Discharges
-Attend rounds representing information to share with the team
-1:1 connection with assigned patients
-Patient/Family education
-Perform nursing interventions for chronic and acute mental health diagnoses with applicable documentation in EMR

TCI Training preferred.
Previous Charge experience is a plus.

Any previous CCHMC employees are not eligible for contract positions for a period of 1 year from term date.
Valid compact licenses accepted for January 2023 & beyond starts. (OH, to become part of the compact January 1, 2023).
