Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – MICU

Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12×3, 36 hrs per week, EOW

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • MI license
  • 1 year ICU experience
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • NIH

Other Details:

  • Will float to other ICU units as needed
  • Must be available the entire week of orientation
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Not Required
  • Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Required – Medical Exemptions Only
BLS (AHA)ACLS (AHA)NIHMichigan RN License1 Year experience ICUPatient Ratios 1:1-4Our ICU is PCU and ICU patients mix.PCU and Gen med/Transfer status can be in a 4:1 group based on acuityPCU can also be in a 4-3:1 based on acuityICU and PCU can be in a mix of 3:1 based on accuityVent Patients are in a 2:1Cooling/CRRT/ or High Acuity will be in a 1:1 group.Patient Diagnoses:COPD, Encephalopathy, Drug Overdose, DKA, AKI, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, HF,A-fibSpecial Procedures/Unit Details:CRRT,HD,A-Line placement, CVC Placement ,Trach placement, Chest tube placementSpecial EquipmentCooling Machine, Bair Huggers, Massive transfusions, CRRTOur unit has an average of 3 vents a day.Our ICU Dr will keep a patient ICU if they feel they do not want to hand off the patient, even though their Acuity level is low. In those cases we will put an ICU pat with a group of 3 or 4 if the patient is stable.Will work every other weekendWill float to other ICU units as neededMust be available the entire week of orientation.There is no guarantee that holiday time off requests will be accepted as holidays are usually required.
