Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – ER 48’s
Shift: Mids / 3p-3:30a, 12×4, 48 hrs per week, will also consider 36 hrs, EOW
Length: 20 weeks
Requirements:
REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:Minimum Years of Experience: 2years experience – Fast pace ER with a strong PEDS presence, experience with PEDS population highly preferredTraveler Experience: Unit does not accept first time travelersLocals Accepted: within 50 miles of facilitySkills: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Triage, Epic experienceCerts: ACLS, CPI, PALS, TNCC
PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Pediatric experience
JOB DETAILS:Avg. Daily Census: 70Visits/Day: 160Rooms: 36Beds: 50Shift: 12hr Eves 3p-3:30a, 36 or 48 hoursCall Requirement: NoneFloat Requirement: Floating Expectations• Helping Hands/ Team Nursing approach• Will assist in being Floated to ICU and ED for helping hands• Patient SittingYou will not take a patient that does not match your clinical assignment or teamWeekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: All chief complaints and diagnoses ranging from simple to complex across the lifespan to include:-Minor cuts and scrapes-Fractures-Abdominal Pain-Chest Pain-Shortness of Breath/Respiratory Concerns-Oncological Emergencies-Neurological Emergencies-Trauma-Psychiatric Emergencies-Abuse/Assault/Neglect Evaluations-Substance Use Disorder-GI/GU/OB-Sepsis
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: -Conscious sedation-Trauma Alert/Activation-Stroke Alert-Cath Lab Activation-SANE Consultation
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: -Point of Care US/USGPIV-EPOC-Belmont-Ranger-Teleneurology
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Omnicell, Epic, SBAR, Voalte
UNIT ORIENTATION: 36 hours – 1 week class/clinical time
SCRUBS: Any color
