Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – CVICU/ICU- 2nd floor

Shift: Variable Nights / 7p Start Time, 12×3, 36 hours per week
Length:13 weeks

Every other weekend. Sat. Sun, holiday rotation with core staff

Requirements:

  • IL license
  • 1 Year’ Experience
  • Open heart experience
  • Must have experience in Level I or Level II Trauma center and have worked in hospitals with 300+ beds
  • Prefer experience pulling sheaths
  • CRRT highly preferred
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
  • PALS preferred
Other Details:
  • Charting System – Allscripts – Sunrise
  • May float to PCU/ CVICU and could take patients- mostly would be help alls.
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: CRRT (prismaflex) rotaprone, TTM- Arctic Sun, mass transfusions, train of 4, frequently paralyze, Ecmo at times, 24 hour EEG monitoring, EVD, LP drain, Neuro surgery,MTP, traumas (drownings, tractor rollover, fractures, MVA), spinal injuries, sepsis, DKA, recover surgeries, COVID, Post heart cath- sometimes will pull sheaths, SI. Bedside procedures, trachs, CT insertion, bronchs, art line insertion, organ recovery (procurement only. no transplants done here)
