Shift: Nights / 6:45p-7:15a, 12×3, 36 hrs per week, EOW

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • NC License
  • 1 year experience
  • IV Start, Telemetry, Titration of Cardiac Drips
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH

JOB DETAILS:RATIOS: 1:3/4Will Accept 13 Weeks.*36hrs can be offered.SHIFT: 12HR NIGHTS*All missed shifts should be made up within the same week if possible; if not, time should be added to the end of the contract to make up the missed shift**Holidays are required if not pre-approved off by unit during offer process.Float Requirement: FLOATING REQUIRED as needed, expectation would be to float to the sister unit which is 5th West ICCU (same patient population).Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: The 1st floor Intermediate Critical Care Unit is an exciting 20-bed unit that exists to provide specialized care for patients with potentially life-threatening health problems that include but are not limited to: Unstable hemodynamics; Surgical patients; Neurological complications; Detox/withdrawal; Respiratory distress requiring non-invasive respiratory support; Titration of selected vasoactive medications.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: ***The unit is now taking COVID-19 patients and travelers will be expected to care for them. Only one pressor drip per patient, anymore and they’re transferred to ICU. Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Neo drips given on unit. Our ICCU manages titratable drips, non-invasive ventilation, intermediate protocols so candidates should have this experience. SCHEDULING TYPE: **cannot approve weekend block scheduling requests due to weekend requirements***
UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 Hours/2 Full days orientation
SCRUBS: Navy
