Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – ICU Float
Shift: Nights/ 6:45p-7:15a, 12×3, 36hrs/week, EOWLength: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
  • NC license
  • 3 years experience in a level 1 or 2 ICU
  • Conscious sedation, telemetry, vents, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ failure, Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Blood product administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Continuous IV sedation, Titrate Cardiac drips, CVA/Acute Stroke management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Interpretation of ABGs, Ventilator Management, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE
  • ACLS, BLS, NIH
  • Level one trauma experience preferred
  • IV insulin protocols, CVVHD/CRRT/Shunts and Fistula Care, Arterial line management, Starting IVs, Titrate Vasoactive drips preferred
  • CCRN preferred

JOB DETAILS:Ratios: 1:3-4Shift: **36 hours only. Shift: Nights., 13 WEEKSRTO: 7 days MAX; NO RTO 4/9-5/17Staff are notified 2hrs before the start of the shift. May float to step down areas, or area’s that are holding step down to ICU level patients (i.e our inpatient boarding space in the ED, or PACU) step down assignments may increase patient ratio to 1:4.Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required**Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: patients in CCU, CVICU, STICU, MICU, Neuro ICU, COVID ICU’s
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID. During times of increased census typical ratios may be higher. Contract staff will be assigned equally to the home unit staff to ensure that patients are covered with a registered nurse. Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
