Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Case Manager/Hospice

Shift: Variable Nights / Fri 6p-8a, Sat/Sun 7p-8a, 40 hours per week

Length: 13 Weeks

Weekend position with a backup RN if needed

Requirements:

  • IN License
  • 1 year required, 2 years preferred with Hospice or Med/Surg experience
  • BLS

  • No locals, travelers permanent address must be 50 miles away from all facilities
Position / Specialty: Hospice Case Manager RN
Start date: ASAP

Shift: Weekend Nights (Friday 6pm – 8am, Saturday 7pm – 8am , Sunday 7pm -8am )

Ratios: 1:15

Years of experience REQ: 1 year required, 2 years preferred with Hospice or Med/Surg experience
First-timers accepted: NO
Weekend REQ: Yes- weekend position with a backup RN if needed

Certs REQ: BCLS
Is on-call REQ? No

Open to accommodating block schedule? This position is strictly Friday-Sunday

Locals accepted: No- the travelers permanent address must be 50 miles away from all facilities.

Pending License accepted: Yes, must be active prior to start

Guaranteed Hours: They will be paid for 40 hours/week each week

This RN responds to emergent needs and provides hospice support via phone and/or visits to the home. Average number of visits/calls per weekend evening/early mornings are 12 or less per weekend.

Most visits involve pronouncing the death in the pts’ home and preparing the body for the funeral home. Provide support to family during this time.
Hospice also engages an RN triage line that handles many of the calls to resolution.

Case management, visiting assigned patients or as needed to manage end-of-life symptoms. RN Casemanager works alongside support staff including Certified Aides, SWs, Chaplains, and music therapist. 24/7 support of NPs, MD and clinical managers. Extremely supportive team environment.
