Shift: Nights / 6:45p-7:15a (12×3) 36 hours per week

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• NC License
• 1 Year Experience
• MS/Tele, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Starting IVs, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, CVA, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions Skills
• ACLS, BCLS, CPI, NIH, PALS
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Accessing Ports, Central line care/management, Heparin Protocols, Procedural Sedation Administration, EPIC preferred

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: This is a transitional unit where patients from the emergency department await in observation for a disposition decision. In this unit, orders and care are initiated. It serves to decompress the Emergency Department. We also support and assist with any procedures or diagnostics the providers feel the patient may need while waiting for their disposition. This unit is designed and tailored to facilitate thru-put in the ED.
