Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – RNFA

Shift: Days, variable start times, 10×4, 40 hrs per week, no holidays, no weekends

Length: 13 weeks

Hours of operation: Monday – Friday; opens at 5:45a until finish last case; usually at 5p; flexes with surgeon

Requirements:

  • CA License
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
Other Details:
  • Accepts 1st time travelers
  • May float to Same Day Surgery, Pain Management, Main Operating Room
  • EPIC Charting

Orthopedic Surgery Center• Hours of operation: Monday – Friday; opens at 0545 until finish last case; usually at 1700; flexes with surgeonNO HOLIDAYS, NO WEEKENDS
May float to Same Day Surgery, Pain Management, Main Operating Room• Patient Population:o 2-100 y/o outpatient orthopedic surgery center. Orthopedic specialty cover sports, upper extremity, lower extremity, foot & ankle, physiatry, joints, pediatric orthoo Staff types: OP surgery RN circulator, RN preop/PACU, PCT, front desk, surgery tech, radiology tech, sterile processingo Interventional pain management is located on the same campus in a separate building with 2 procedure rooms and 10 pre/post.Unit Details:This area is an outpatient orthopedic surgery center. Nurses are required to float to the main OR, pain management procedural and same day surgery as needed.
Hours of operation: M-F, open 0545 until finish, usually 1700, flexes with surgeon
Interventional pain management is located on the same campus in a separate building with 2 procedure rooms and 10 pre/post.
For RNFAs need 2 years of scrub experience in orthopedic specialty- REQUIRED
-Call 911 for emergencies• Average Daily Census: 30o 2 ORs; 8 pre-op/PACU beds; Staffing is shared with Pain Management• Float to Main hospital required• No WeekendsThe unit varies in start times for a 10 hour shift based on the census. Late day coverage is expected on a fair and rotational bases with other staff• EPIC Charting• Required Certs:o ACLS, BLS, PALS• 2 years minimum experience• Accepts 1st time travelers• Scrubs provided
