Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – PCU 48’s
Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p, 12×4, 48hrs per week, Will also consider 36hrs, Must be flexible with weekend

Length: 13 Weeks
*** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract

*** Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.

Requirements:
  • IN or Compact License
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • BLS, ACLS
  • NIH Preferred

  • May be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU)
MUST BE AGREEABLE TO TAKE CHARGE

MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS.

IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment. Please only submit candidates that are okay with these requirements.

Certification Requirements: ACLS and BCLS; NIH Preferred

Skillset Requirements:
Minimum 2 Years Experience
Telemetry – on unit monitoring
IV insulin protocols and Tirtration of insulin drips
Feeding tube care and management
Pre/post hemodialysis management
Blood product administration
Monitoring Chemotherapy
Heparin protocols
Manage cardia drips – no titration
External CPA/BiPAP
High Flow Nasal Cannula
Isolation Precautions
