Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Neuro ICU

Shift: Nights / 6:45p-7:15a, 12×3, 36hrs per week, EOW
Length: 13 Weeks

Requirements:

  • NC License
  • 1 Year Experience
  • Skills: Neuro ICU Required skills: Interpretation and management of dysrythmias required, IV Insulin protocols, Accessing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IV’s, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration, titrate cardiac drips, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains, ICP, Post Neurosurgery management, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, BiPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Phlebotomy.

  • SICU, teaching hospital experience , Sheath Removal, Multi-system organ failure, Hypothermia protocol/Artic Sun, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac preferred

JOB DETAILS:Ratios: 1:2.Shift: 12 HR night*36 hours only. Will accept 13 week contracts!Float Requirement: Required; Travelers float first.Weekend Requirement: Every other weekendNO RTO 4/29-5/17
** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed

SCHEDULING TYPE: Manager schedules
UNIT ORIENTATION: 48 Hours
SCRUBS: Navy
