Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Med/Surg 2 West A
Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p, 12×3, 36hrs per week
Length: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
1st Time Travelers: Not Accepted
Ratios: 1:6
Float Required to units of equal or lesser acuity
Weekend shifts per contract: Half of scheduled shifts
Certification Requirements: BLS ; NIH Preferred
Documentation System: Prv EPIC required
2 West A is a medical – surgical unit with telemetry capabilities that focuses on patients with renal and urological diagnoses. The staff has expertise in managing patients post prostate surgery, renal stones, surgeries on the bladder and kidney. The staff is adept at 3-wa catheter irrigations, bladder scans, and incontinency procedures. The patients admitted to this unit range from young adulthood through geriatrics. Admissions may also include other medical-surgical, telemetry overflow.
Skills Required: MS/Tele, feeding tube care and management, hemodialysis management, renal failure, blood product administration, central line management, peripheral line care, PICC line management, Heparin protocols, HFNC, nasal Cannula, oxygen face masks, isolation precautions, wound care
Local Traveler: No local – We do not contract staff residing in the following counties : Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
