Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a (12×3) 36 hours per week
Length: 13 weeks
Required to work one extra shift every 3 weeks during periods of high census

Requirements:
  • NE License
  • 2 years of experience
  • At least level 3 experience but ideally level 4
  • BLS
Other details:
  • Will care for 23 weeks up to 1 year olds
  • Will need to have experience with similar patient populations
  • When floated to other ICU units nurse will typically get assigned infants however when floated to Med/Surg unit nurse may get adolescents
  • Will be first to float and will float to the PICU, CCU and Med/Surg floors.
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not Required
  • Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
Level 4 NICU unit that has a variation of patients. Travelers that do best on this unit have at least level 3 experience but ideally level 4.Will care for 23 weeks up to 1 year olds. When floated to other ICU units nurse will typically get assigned infants however when floated to Med/Surg unit nurse may get adolescents. Traveler will need to have experience with similar patient populations.
Highly surgical NICU unit. Traveler will be first to float and will float to the PICU, CCU and Med/Surg floors.
Common diagnoses consist of PPHN, bowel perf or NEC, BPD, Tracheostomy/G-button evals, pre op cardiac anomalies, gastroschisis, hydrocephalus, and many more.
Contract requirement is three 12 hour shifts/week. Staff are required to work one extra shift every 3 weeks during periods of high census.
