Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – PCU – Medical 48’s Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p (12×4) 48 hours per week, will consider 36’s, EOW Length: 13 weeks Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract Requirements: IN License Minimum 2 Year Experience ACLS BLS NIH preferred Others Details: First Time Travelers Accepted May be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) Local accepted First Time Travelers Accepted Shift Requirements: 4×12 or 3 X12 *** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. Certification Requirements: ACLS and BCLS; NIH Preferred Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 Year Experience Telemetry – on unit monitoring IV insulin protocols and Tirtration of insulin drips Feeding tube care and management Pre/post hemodialysis management Blood product administration Monitoring Chemotherapy Heparin protocols Manage cardia drips – no titration External CPA/BiPAP High Flow Nasal Cannula Isolation Precautions Staffing Ratios: 1:4 Unit Information: Medical PCU – almost ICU level acuity – multiple cardiac drips. Stable vents. Multi-organ failure, liver failure, pulmonary Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses.
