Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Med/Surg – 6 South 48’s

Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p, 12×4, 48 hours per week, will accept 36’s, expected to work EOW

Length: 13 weeks

Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract

Requirements:

  • IN License
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
  • 2 years Overall RN experience
  • BCLS
  • Skillset Preferences: Management of dysrhythmias and Interpretation of dysrhythmias

  • Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor’s note provided
  • Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed
ICU, PCU and M/S Peds and Adult RNs residing in the state of Indiana are considered local.

Shift Requirements: 4×12 or 3×12

*** Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need
*** Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Certification Requirements: BCLS
Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 Year of Med/Surg Experience, 2 Years Overall RN experience requiredSkillset Preferences: Management of dysrhythmias and Interpretation of dysrhythmias
Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed
Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6
Unit Information: Post Operative – Urology, GYN, GI, Ortho etc. & some pre-op patients
