Number of Beds -60
· Number of Staff – 50
· Type of staff:
o Day Shift –1 Charge nurse per floor, RNs, LVNS, PCTs, and unit secretary when grid allows
o Night Shift – 1 Charge nurse per floor, RNs, LVNS, PCTs
· Patient Ratios – 5:1 (Med Surg Specialty 4th Floor). 6:1 (Med Surg 5th Floor)
· Type of equipment – remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, dynamaps
· EMR –Alterra (Allscripts)

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · Telemetry experience · Med Surg Experience Unit Information: (insert name) Location: Address: 609 Medical City Drive Decatur, TX 76234 Floor: 4th Floor & 5th Floor Building: Main Campus General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds -60 · Number of Staff – 50 · Type of staff: o Day Shift –1 Charge nurse per floor, RNs, LVNS, PCTs, and unit secretary when grid allows o Night Shift – 1 Charge nurse per floor, RNs, LVNS, PCTs · Patient Ratios – 5:1 (Med Surg Specialty 4th Floor). 6:1 (Med Surg 5th Floor) · Type of equipment – remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, dynamaps · EMR –Alterra (Allscripts) Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · Telemetry experience · Med Surg Experience Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. · Cardiac recognition, IV starts · Time management List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · All abdominal: chole, appy, colectomy, diagnostic procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, heart caths, run offs · Gastric sleeves, total hip, knee and shoulder replacements. Ortho trauma repairs (fractures) Best personality Fit: · Team oriented, positive and flexible. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: · ACLS, BLS, NIHS
