Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Strokes, TBI, Craniotomies/cranioplasties, back surgeries, VP/LP shunts, seizures. Occasionally: syncope, hyper/hypotension & vascular surgeries. Any special procedure done on the unit? Lumbar puntures & CT insertions Common Medications used on the unit? Antiseizure medications, antipsychotic medications, antihypertensive, DM. Start and end shift times:0700-1530, 1500-2330, 2300-0730, Lunch ( ½ hr, 1 hr, 2 hr, etc.): 0.5 lunch Nurse Patient Ratio: 1/7 or 8 Is Vasoactive Drip Titration Required? N IV Insertion Y PICC/Central Line Management Y Vascular Device Access/Care Y Epidural/PCA pumpsY Feeding Tubes Y Comments: Only telemetry monitoring for stroke patients and only 24 hours. Will have remote tele capability
