Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

The Registered Nurse coordinates the plan of care, provides direct age-appropriate nursing interventions, and patient education by collaborating with ancillary and other patient-team personnel. Directs LPNs, CNAs, and ward secretaries/technicians. Works under the supervision of the nurse manager and/or nursing supervisor. Specific to the Family Center, the RN provides comprehensive, family centered care in the areas of antepartum, low and high risk obstetrical patients, medical/surgical patients, well newborn and selected high risk newborns.

Education: Graduated RN, ADN, diploma, BSN nursing program, with a current or pending Colorado nursing license. Training and Experience: BCLS, ACLS and PALS required. NRP required within 6 months of hire. STABLE and Fetal Monitoring recommended. 2 years’ experience in OB preferred. Job Knowledge: Encompasses a wide range of nursing, psycho-social and medical information which includes nursing process, communications and problem-solving, assessment and prioritizing skills. Preferably 2 years of Experience
