WILL TAKE CALL Position Description: • PACU • MUST HAVE CURRENT CA LIC AT TIME OF SUBMISSION • Special skills required : exp with PEDS • Pt population : 321 beds in hospital, not teaching hosp, level II trauma. PACU care with pediatrics • Ratios : 1:2 , ratios are CA state mandated, will depend on patient acuity and census • Float requirements : none unless internal code triage called • Schedule/ Weekend requirements : on call x3 (x2 weekend call and x1 noc call) every 6wks • EMR – EPIC • Scrub Info : any color no jeans, detailed info will be provided with first day info Required upon submission: • Years of experience required : 2 years • MUST HAVE CURRENT CA LIC AT TIME OF SUBMISSION • Certs required : ACLS and PALS Preferred: • Certs preferred : CPAN (not req’d) • EMR: EPIC – experience preferred prior travel exp ***please note : prefer PACU experience with or without pediatrics over just ICU candidates - please make sure you are submitting PACU RNs PACU Facility Name: John Muir Walnut Creek Total # of Facility Beds: 321 Unit Name: PACU Unit Specialty: Click or tap here to enter text. Self-Scheduling No Weekend Requirements: on-call as needed Call Requirements: On-Call requirements: Assigned with schedule in same ratio with staff Call is assigned 2-4 times per 4 week stretch...or two pay periods. It’s not all at one time or one weekend as it’s important to assure proper rest periods and avoid double time. The call varies, depending on the need, but it is generally three 8 hour shifts every 4 week schedule. Hours may be 0900/1000-1730/1830 on weekend days, or 2300-0730 on weeknights/weekend night Holiday Requirements: on-call as needed Patient Population (Diagnoses): General surgery covering all specialties (except open heart) including pediatrics. Estimated % of patients with PA Catheters: 0-1% Vents: 5% Ventric/ICP Monitoring: 0 A-line/Swan Cath 0-1% Epidural Cath and Pumps 2% Patients recovered directly in ICU: No, vented patients go direct if bed available. Extensive PACU experience with flexibility, positive attitude.
