Age ranges from 15-100+. Wide variety of Neuro trauma, MVA, stroke, seizure, brain and spinal cord injuries and insults along with Crani’s for tumors, laminectomies, shunts for hydrocephalus. Early mobility and rehab a significant focus–work daily with therapies.– In and out caths/lines/g-tubes/occasional lumbar punctures/occasional trachs, PCA pumps, wound vacs,– Nurses do primary care with excellent team support. Charge Nurse usually takes a reduced assignment to better support the team.– 2-3 surgeries per day/Neuro Critical Care is our primary feeder unit.
