Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Cardiac Telemetry

Shift: Nights, 7p-7a, 12×3, 36 hrs per week

Length:12 weeks

Weekends: Average Every other/4 shifts per month
Holidays: Expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if needed

Requirements:

  • GA / compact license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH / Cardiac Telemetry
  • Skills : Must be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath; manage central lines, Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips-no titration (titration experience preferred)
  • PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown preferred
Other Details:
  • Unit accepts first time travelers
  • Float within skillset; to Tele or MedSurg or ER for MedSurg overflow patients
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
  • Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Unknown

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years – Unit accepts first time travelersPATIENT POPULATION: Adolescents to GeriatricsRATIO: 1:5REQUIRED CERTS/SKILLS: ACLS, BLS; NIH / Cardiac Telemetry /Must be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath; manage central lines, Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips-no titration (titration experience preferred)Preferred: PCU/DOU/IMC/StepdownDiagnoses/Special Procedures: Chest Pain, NSTEMI/STEMI, AMI, Afib, CHF, Bradycardia, SVT/Tachycardia; Left heart cath/ right heart cath, TEE/ cardioversions, stress tests, pacemaker, AICD insertion
FLOATING: Within skillset; to Tele or MedSurg or ER for MedSurg overflow patients
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:RTO: MAX 7 days, No Blocked SchedulingWEEKENDS: Average Every other/4 shifts per monthHOLIDAYS:If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
