Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN -Pediatric PCU

Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12×4, 48hrs per week, EOW

Length: 13 Weeks

Requirements:

  • MI License
  • 1 year minimum experience
  • Epic required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH
  • Conscious Sedation Preferred
  • Charge Nurse Experience Preferred
  • Float pool experience preferred

  • Medication System Pyxis
  • Unit Does Not Accept 1st time Travelers
  • No local travelers 50 miles or less
  • Floating required within service line; float to other units within scope

**48 hours per week*****Mixed unit Med Surg/Tele and Med Surg*****Small community hospital with ER MD only at night**Avg. Daily Census 2224 bedsPatient Age Group – Adults and Geriatrics, Adolescent, Pediatrics (as young as less than one year old)Staffing Ratios 1:5 Days, 1:6 Nights and WeekendsFloating required within service line; float to other units within scopeEvery Other Weekend RequiredMedication System PyxisEpic requiredPatient Diagnoses: General Medical and Surgical Care. Post operative care- orthopedic, pulmonary and general surgical cases. No drips on this unit- may have tele- however we do have a monitor tech to watch these cases. preoperative care occasionally. May have adolescent post operative recoveries.Special Procedures/Unit Details: May have chest tubes and bedside procedures. Moderate sedation may be necessary. IV,s, Foleys, feeding tubes, IV pumps, PCA occasionally.
