Vascular surgical patients comprise a large portion of our patient population. This person would need to have the basic knowledge of what to look at and for (assessment-wise) with this type of patient.
Ortho post-op (total joints, ORIF) experience is preferred, peripheral IV starts, tube feedings, TPN, Trach Care, Chest tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, drain management and removal (JP, Accordian), dressing changes, wound vacs
Comfortability to discontinue non-tunneled catheters, will wean patients off Epidural pump per order set, PCAs

Travel Medsurg RN is needed for a hospital in Indiana. Med-Surg/Inpatient Rehab and Behavioral Health Pod (4N, 4S, 4E, 3S, IRU and Behavioral Health): Will float amongst Four Medsurg Units with various specialties including Oncology and Ortho-Neuro. Typical ratios on these units are 5-6:1 and have 20-25 patients per unit. Two of these units also care for Progressive Care Level patients. Will also float to a Behavioral Health Unit that is low acuity behavioral health and addiction issues along with an Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit that provides intermediate care to patients with common diagnosis of Stroke, Joint Replacement or Trauma. 2 years of experience is required. ACLS and BLS are required. Shifts consist of 7-7. 36 hours are guaranteed. Every other weekend and holiday rotation that will include 2 winter holidays.
