Travel NICU RN is needed to start ASAP in a facility in Wisconsin. WI or compact license is required. 2 years of experience. BLS and NRP are required. Shifts are Evening/Night, 12 hour shifts, and weekend rotation. 36 hours per week. Nurses at this state-of-the-art, level IV NICU provide care for critically ill newborns, infants and their families across the continuum of care, from admission to discharge. Free standing acute inpatient facility – contracted ER 5 min away
All patients come from an ED and are medically cleared
not typical to have lines, drains, tubes, etc.
Children and Adolescents receiving inpatient Mental Health services – ages 5 - 18
Common diagnoses include, but are not limited to: Eating Disorders, Depression, Suicidal Ideation, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Gender Dysphoria
Traditional medical and psychiatric care in addition to specialized therapies such as: pet therapy, group sessions, recreation therapy (rock wall), community gardens
Patient Ratios:
RN: Day – 1:5-6; Night – 1:16 with resource support (including Nursing support)
Psych Techs: Day – 6 Psych Techs; Night – 3 Psych Techs
Required Certifications:
BLS
MOAB is obtained on site (part of orientation)
Skills required:
De-escalation experience, experience with physical restraints
Support on the Unit:
Nurse Supervisor – available evenings/weekends
Nurse Manager - days
House Administrator - available overnight and weekends
Charge nurse – has patient assignment
Psych Techs
Nurse Practitioner; on site until 1600 and then on call overnight
Psychiatrist – daily rounds and On Call 0000-0600
Occupational Therapist – 0800-1630, 7 days per week

Subacute care: This is the highest level of care available in our long-term care setting. The CCC provides 25 beds dedicated to residents with ventilator and tracheostomy requirements. Summary
This role provides direct clinical patient care.
The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level.
The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated.
The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
