Obs/Inpatients to unit with dx of Neurodevelopmental disorders-Autism/ID-agitaiton; Scizophrenia and other psychotic disorders; bipolar related disorders; anxiety related disorders; depressive disorders; trauma and stressor related disorders; feeding/eating disorders; neurocognitive disorders with behavioral problems; delirium; patients who lack capacity and waiting placement; medication-induced movement disorders and other adverse effects of medications.
These are medical patients that may have psychiatric needs. While the unit is not a true psych unit, we do cohort our patients who have psychiatric needs on this unit. Patients are frequently on suicide precautions, involuntary commit status, or may have behavioral issues.
