Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Case Manager Shift: Days / 8a-4:30p, 8×5, 40 hrs per week Length: 13 weeks Requirements: CA license 2 years RN experience All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Experience coordinating care for patients with complicated medical diagnosis BLS Specialty nursing certification relating to patient population preferred Previous experience working as a nurse navigator (care coordinator) for patients with complicated medical diagnosis, preferably ENT of Head and Neck Cancers preferred Previous experience working as a nurse navigator (care coordinator) for patients with complicated medical diagnosis preferred Others: Strong written, oral communication, as well as effective problem solving and negotiation skills Computer familiarity using Word, Outlook and Excel, or similar database software Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Ability to design and implement patient and family education programs Position Summary: Incumbent will provide coordination and oversight for effective delivery of subspecialty care to patients in the outpatient ENT clinic. Incumbent serves as a single point of contact for patients and/or family members for the purpose of effectively communicating the patient’s plan of care, and coordinates care with the physicians and members of the healthcare team. 2 years RN experience * patient population – head/neck surgical pts – 50% with cancer diagnosis. Pts may have tracheostomies, gtubes. Prefer nurse who has epx with this patient population, but not required.
